Description
The biodynamic wines of Ognissole, a winery affiliated to Feudi di San Gregorio and offering interesting wines from Italy's heel, may be found in Salento, near Manduria. The classic worldwide wines of Luigi Sirch are winning over even more palates in Friuli, in the extreme north-east of the country, owing to their cleanness and precision, in what is definitely another superb winemaking and marketing partnership performed by Feudi San Gregorio.
Tuscany, of course, had to be included. We come upon the Campo alle Comete winery and its big red Stupore in Bolgheri, under the shade of the Castagneto Carducci mountain. A wine that is deep, powerful, balsamic, silky, and enveloping, expressing all of the greatest qualities of the Feudi world as well as the terroir's typicity.
