Baliaggio "Aglianico del Vulture" 2018
The looming Monte Vulture may look like an intimidating place to make wine, but it hasnt erupted for thousands of years, and and it's now where you'll find some of Italy's most impressive soils. Here, the late-ripening Aglianico grape thrives on volcanic vineyards, and this resulting wine is one of Italy's hidden gems. It's very well structured, with notes of dark fruits and black pepper. It will develop excellently over time and pairs fantastically with Mediterranean dishes.
