Calabria is one of Italy's least developed areas, renowned for its untamed, natural beauty, and modern winemaking processes have just lately been implemented. Raffaele Librandi and his two sons, Antonio and Nicodemo, made the choice in the 1950s to modernise his family vines in Cir Marina.
It is hardly an exaggeration to state that Librandi was the driving force for Calabria's revival. The winery is still in the Librandi family's hands today, with Nicodemo at the helm.
